Salt Separation Services Limited, based in Rochdale, recently signed up to the Armed Forces Corporate Covenant. The Corporate Covenant is a voluntary pledge from businesses and charitable organisations who wish to demonstrate their concrete support for the Armed Forces community.

Salt Separation Services Limited is an independent water treatment company specialising in the design, manufacture, installation and commissioning of water treatment systems.

The company works in the offshore oil and gas, marine (both naval and commercial) and industrial markets, concentrating on membrane separation processes, predominantly Reverse Osmosis (RO) and NanoFiltration, to desalinate water for drinking, process and industrial purposes.

Leigh Connor, Spares & Service Manager, said: ‘We do a considerable amount of work with the Royal Navy designing and manufacturing RO Plants for producing drinking water from sea water, and we have taken on a number of Royal Navy Reservists as employees. I am an ex-Army Reservist myself and our company have also completed work for the Army refurbishing their trailer mounted RO plants in the past. The Corporate Covenant gives us an opportunity to formally and publicly pledge our support both to the Reserve Forces and to the wider Armed Forces community.’
