On Reserves Day, we invited employers from across our region to join for us a flag raising event at Altcar Training Camp in Merseyside.
Cadets from Merchant Taylors’ Schools, Crosby raised the flag to celebrate Armed Forces week and Reserves Day.
Following the flag raising, participants were invited to a guided tour of the camp by The Commandant, Lieutenant Colonel (retired) Gordon Black to provide further insights into site activity. During the tour, we were able to watch live firing activity from the 4th Battalion, Parachute Regiment; a Reservist unit.

Geoff Nuzum, Head of Engagement stated: “NW RFCA is incredibly proud of the Armed Forces Community, both those who serve and those who have served. We’re delighted that our supportive employers could join us today to show their respect and appreciation.”
In the North West, there are over 3000 Reservists who give up their spare time to serve in the Reserve Forces and are ready to support the military when needed. We thank you all for your support.
