Sunday 22 October saw the National Trafalgar Day parade take place in London to mark the anniversary of the victory won by the Royal Navy at the Battle of Trafalgar on 21 October 1805 under the command of Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson.
The Trafalgar Day Parade was led by 400 Sea Cadets from across the UK including 24 cadets from across the North West Area, who formed Number 2 Platoon, marching from Horse Guards Parade to Trafalgar Square where the service of remembrance took place. The cadets then marched back under Admiralty Arch along the Mall to Wellington Barracks before returning home after a long but rewarding day in London.
North West Area Sea Cadets also provided cadets as wreath bearers to the VIPs and they were involved in the PT display team which demonstrated its skills to the watching public on Trafalgar Square before the parade marched on.
