New Chief Executive for the Council of RFCAs, Ministry of Defence

chief-exec-jamie-gordon-smallWe are delighted to announce that Maj Gen James Gordon CB CBE formally takes over the role of Chief Executive of the Council of RFCAs today, 30 September. He follows in the footsteps of AVM Paul Douglas Luker CB OBE AFC DL who retires after 10 years of service. Maj Gen Gordon’s responsibilities will be to act as the representative of 13 Regional Associations to Defence customers in negotiating and delivering Service Level Agreements. He will also represent the Council at strategic level across Defence in management meetings and act as the Accountable Officer for financial and commercial practice. NW RFCA warmly welcomes him to the role.

Maj Gen Gordon holds a wealth of experience and knowledge that he brings to the role. His last appointment in the Army was Senior British Loan Service Officer to the Sultan of Oman. His military career includes postings to Northern Ireland, Germany, Falkland Islands and Cyprus. He has also participated in tours to Bosnia and Iraq.
