Lord-Lieutenants’ Awards 2021 overview

This year’s Lord-Lieutenants’ Awards have seen a record number of awards being presented to the North Wests Reservists, Cadets, Cadet Force Adult Volunteers, Civilian Instructors, Veterans and those who support them.

The regions Lord-Lieutenants’ have presented 187 awards in total with a further 6 Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Awards and a Gold revalidation from 2020 being formally presented by the Lord-Lieutenants’, these awards were held over from 2020 as Covid restrictions prevented us holding any face to face award ceremonies.

In hosting the awards we have visited many prestigious locations; including Carlisle, Chester and Liverpool Cathedrals, the Marine Hall Lancashire, Government House on the Isle of Man and Gorton Monastery in Greater Manchester.  Each venue lent itself to making the awards evening truly special and memorable for the Lord-Lieutenants’ guests and the award recipients.

During their speeches each Lord-Lieutenant spoke of the dedication, commitment and outstanding achievements the recipients had displayed in service which lead to them being written up for an award.  Every recipient is truly worthy of their award.

We look forward to the 2022 round of awards and will have the submissions website open in November.
