Manchester Airport Festival of Remembrance

28.08.2015

The Manchester Airport Festival of Remembrance will take place at 1930hrs on Tuesday 10 November 2015 at the Runway Visitor Park, under the wings of Concorde. Manchester Airport looks forward to welcoming civic leaders, former service personnel, colleagues from the airport and related companies, and local cadets. The event will last around an hour and will include refreshments.

For reasons of security and because of limited seating, the event will be by (free) ticket only. If you would like to attend this event, please let us know by emailing Jackie Lowe, [email protected], or calling 0161 489 2154.

If you would like to order tickets, please indicate how many tickets you would like, whether you or anyone in your party has any special needs in relation to mobility and whether anyone would like to bring a standard or lay a wreath during the ceremony. When we have received this information (if possible, by September 7) we will be in contact by early October with tickets, directions and information about parking.

If you know of any groups or individuals who may want to be present at this event, please do pass this information on and encourage them to indicate their interest by using the contact details above.

In addition to the above event, the Manchester Airport Act of Remembrance will take place, as usual, from 1045hrs on (Wednesday) 11 November at the Memorial Stones outside Olympic House.

For those passengers and staff present at the airport on Remembrance Sunday, a member of the Chaplaincy Team will also be on hand to conduct a very short commemoration at the Memorial Stones outside Olympic House at 1100hrs on Remembrance Sunday, 8 November.
