This month saw the energisation of the long awaited one megawatt solar farm at Altcar Training Camp on Merseyside.
NW RFCA entered into a joint venture with Task Contract Solutions to develop and financially support solar projects for the Reserve and Cadet Estate in the North West of England.
In return for accommodating the installation on RFCA land, Task Contract Solutions have coordinated the system’s design, construction and financing.
The Association has agreed to consume the energy produced through the solar installation making significant energy cost savings, estimated at £58,000 per annum.
