Men or women of all backgrounds, they are appointed directly by His Majesty the King, on the advice of the Prime Minister. The Lieutenant Governor of the Isle of Man is His Majesty The King\u2019s Personal Representative, and is appointed by Warrant of His Majesty The King.<\/p>\r\n<p>The awards include the appointment of the Lord-Lieutenants&#8217; Cadet, this is one of the highest appointments a cadet can achieve. Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Merseyside, and the Lieutenant Governor\u2019s Awards for the Isle of Man, are facilitated by the North West of England and the Isle of Man Reserve Forces\u2019 and Cadets\u2019 Association (NW RFCA).<\/p>\r\n<p>The awards include:<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li><strong>His Majesty\u2019s Lord-Lieutenants\u2019 and Lieutenant Governor\u2019s Certificate of Meritorious Volunteer Service;<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<li><strong>His Majesty\u2019s Lord-Lieutenants\u2019 and Lieutenant Governor\u2019s Cadet&#8217;s Award for Endeavour;<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<li><strong>His Majesty\u2019s Lord-Lieutenants\u2019 and Lieutenant Governor\u2019s Commendation;<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<li><strong>The appointment of His Majesty\u2019s Lord-Lieutenants\u2019 and Lieutenant Governor\u2019s Cadets for each county and the Isle of Man.<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<li><strong>Certificate for Meritorious Service for veterans and other service charities<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<li><strong>Commendation for veterans and other service charities<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<li><strong>Additional awards that the Lord-Lieutenants&#8217; and Lieutenant Governor can present are: The Volunteer Reserve Service Medal (VRSM) and Cadet Forces Medal (CFM).<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n<p>Nominations for the Lord-Lieutenants&#8217; and Lieutenant Governor&#8217;s Awards 2024 are now closed.
