Sea Cadets ‘Sail the UK’

Sail UK

Sea Cadets are holding an exciting national event this year, with the focus on helping to raise funds for units as a nationwide team effort. Ten percent of all the funds raised will be passed to Head Office, where they will be spent exclusively on additional bursaries so that as many cadets as possible can have access to a range of activities, including the Sea Cadet international exchange experience, at prices that everyone can afford.

Last year Sea Cadets across the country rowed to raise funds; this year they are going to sail! The aim is to sail around the UK together – that’s a total distance of 7830 miles – during daylight hours between Saturday 21 and Sunday 29 June. During this period cadets will work together, sharing facilities in their district or area, getting out on the water as much as they can and gaining sponsorship for every mile that they sail.
