Staff Sergeant Lee Hamlett who serves as Troop Sergeant Major with Reservist gunners B “King’s” Troop 208 Battery 103 Regiment Royal Artillery is also employed as a Shipwright at Cammell Laird. This summer the Battery fired a blank round to celebrate the hull of RRS Sir David Attenborough making its first entry into water during a launch attended by Sir David Attenborough himself.
Built by Cammell Laird, the RRS Sir David Attenborough is one of the most advanced polar research vessels in the world. The vessel will be operated by the British Antarctic Survey.
