On hand to provide information about the Reserve Forces and Cadet organisations in the North West as well as an exhibition of photographs of the North West Reserve and Cadet Estate, NW RFCA was one of a number of organisations hosting stands including almost all the region’s Army Reserve units, the Sea Cadets, Army Cadets and Air Cadets.

Hundreds of local families flocked to Fulwood Barracks, home of HQ 42 Inf Bde & HQ NW, to take part in various activities. Attractions included military vehicles and a fly past by a Spitrfire, and the arena and sports fields played host to a number of spectacles including Lancashire Army Cadet Force Corps of Drums, Lancashire Artillery Band, 75 Engr Regt demonstrating flood barrier deployment, Sea Cadets Marching Band and the North Region Air Cadet Band and Drill Display.
