The candle-lit vigil held at Bayeux War Cemetery followed the annual D-Day service of thanksgiving at Bayeux Cathedral in Normandy. Royal Marine Cadet Cpl Grace from the Trafford detachment was honoured to carry the Torch of Commemoration. Such an incredible opportunity, well done Cpl Grace.
Cadet Company Sergeant Major Marcus Lilley from Lancashire Army Cadet Force also took part in the D-Day commemorations in Normandy. Marcus supported Veteran (Sgt) Richard Brock aged 100 from the 1st Battalion East Lancashire Regiment, they both took part in the Bayeux Cemetery Memorial Service.
An incredible experience for both cadets.
