New Head of Commercial Operations for Alternative Venues

It’s all change for Alternative Venues as Carol McGowan has started as their new Head Of Commercial Operations this month.  We put Carol in the hot seat to discuss her new appointment and to see what wealth of experience she can bring to the role.

What skills and career experience do you bring to Alternative Venues?

I have over 21 years’ experience in the financial services industry where I held a variety of customer facing and advisory roles. 

This experience has led to a knowledge of revenue generating, commercial operations and a collaborative approach in working with all stakeholders. I have a lateral disposition towards new ideas and innovation in approaching business opportunities.

What are the biggest tasks you will be addressing?

Regenerating the AV revenue stream post the COVID pandemic.

What excites you most about the role?

Getting out and about visiting all sites, working collaboratively to build upon the ongoing success of AV. Building rapport with existing clients, getting to know new clients and growing the relationships.
