As a Reservist, Ben completed exercises in Norway and expeditions to the Himalayas as well as multiple training exercises around Europe.

Ben said: “The training I have completed as a Reservist has given me the tools to transfer to full time service and the confidence to then deploy immediately on an operation like this. Although this is a tragic situation it’s great to be in a position to help.”

Since his deployment to the British Virgin Islands Mne Kessie has conducted multiple patrols with the local police force and assisted in providing security at key locations around the capital of Tortola, Road Town. His troop are likely to assist in the delivery of crucial aid over the coming weeks.
