Meet Chris Walton our new Employer Engagement Admin Officer who has joined us recently. We put Chris in the hot seat to discover his experience and find out about what he is looking forward to in the role.
What excites you most about the role?
Having been a former Air Training Corp Cadet, I’ve seen what the organisation can offer to Cadet organisations and the Reserve Forces. I’m looking forward to being able to add to the hard work the team is already doing. I can’t wait to meet everyone at the annual ERS awards and continue to support the partnerships created with local businesses.
What will be the biggest challenge?
Learning a new system and working with a new team of people…but hopefully I can win them over with cakes.
Any hobbies and interest?
I’m a big Liverpool FC supporter and a keen footballer myself, I regularly play 5-aside. I enjoy watching the Formula 1 and constantly read about the technical aspects of the sports and how engineering are coming up with new and innovate ways to win. I am also a fan of Golf, I can’t hit a ball to save my life but having worked at events such as the Johnnie Walker Championship, The Open and the Ryder Cup, I still enjoy the sport as a whole.
