ATC refurbishments

2199 (Workington) Squadron  – Internal Refurb

Thanks to money provided through RAFAC Infra, the Squadron now looks brighter and more modern.

Added to this both the Cadet Force Adult Volunteers and Cadets based within the Squadron can now utilise the space within the store room better thanks to an impressive series of shelves being installed.

1196 (Bredbury, Romiley & Marple) Squadron

NW RFCA recently undertook the refurbishment of both buildings at Bredbury Sqn to provide a modern attractive appeal, accessible facilities and improve thermal properties. Both buildings have benefitted from new fully insulated stud partitions and suspended ceilings, full internal and external redecoration, new fire rated doors, fire alarm system floor coverings, programmable heating, LED lighting and refurbished WC’s which included the provision of new accessible WC’s. The main building also received a fully insulated external over clad system and new kitchen. The training building additionally benefitted from the replacement of old rotten timber windows to PVCu double glazed units.
