Pictured is Leading Aircraftman (LAC) Ian Clegg (Cleggy) (33) a part time voluntary reservist. He is taliking to British Forces Broadcast Service Charlie Fife. Cleggy is a General Engineering Technician and fixes things mostly. His pevious experience is varied with an Army , Fire Service and Dad occupying him. He has already deployed to Estonia, Akrotiri and early next year will have 4 months in the Falklands. Exercise Beware Beware is a capability exercise which brings 611 Royal Auxiliary Air Force(RAuxAF) Reserve Squadron(Sqn) to Royal Air Force(RAF) Akrotiri in Cyprus to embed it’s trained personnel within the stations’ existing staff. 611Sqn, based in Liverpool, is the first of the new Sqn’s to deploy following it’s formation in 2013. Wing Commander Paul Bennett Officer Commanding 611 Sqn said, ” Our aim is to demonstrate that Reserve forces can support RAF operations, whether it be overseas or UK based, in any circumstance and at any time”
