Maghull Squadron Air Cadets opens its doors!

12.10.2015

A Merseyside Air Cadet unit is opening its doors for its biggest and best recruit drive yet.

2348 (Maghull) Sqn ATC is a keen sporting squadron, with teams in hockey and football. Maghull Squadron is a high achiever for the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. Each year cadets complete their Bronze, Silver and Gold awards – which is a wonderful achievement for any young person and something they can present on their CV. They also run three Army Training Camps a year, train regularly on various weapons, fly and glide locally on a regular basis and study a varied syllabus which covers such subjects as leadership, mountaineering and first aid.

On Wednesday 21st October at 1900hrs, come along to the Squadron and meet some of the brilliant people we have on board.

All cadets are issued with a uniform and the Squadron’s staff and cadets will be keen to welcome all visitors. Maghull Squadron parade on a Monday and Friday from 7pm until 10pm. To request an ‘Information Pack’ or to register for the Recruitment Evening call 0151 520 2348 during the mentioned opening hours or email [email protected].

Flt Lt Ian Taylor. Flt Lt Ian Taylor, the Squadron’s Commander, said: “We welcome young people from the surrounding areas to attend our open evening to see what exactly Air Cadets do. Parents and guardians are encouraged to attend also. 2348 has dedicated and hardworking staff who enable our cadets to travel to overseas camp, complete Duke of Edinburgh Awards and walk out of the Squadron, not only with great experiences but with qualifications too.”
