Become a Cadet Leader - are you up to the challenge?
We are also looking for adults over 18 years old who would like to become Cadet Leaders. You too will be trained to instruct the Cadets in the subjects and skills that the Cadet Syllabus contains. You will also help to instil in them a sense of the discipline, self esteem and achievement that comes from working as part of a successful team. You will help them learn new skills, both physical and mental. As a leader you will find that your abilities as a member and later as a leader of a successful detachment will instil in you the capacity to handle pressure and responsibility.

Whilst the Cadet Forces are a voluntary youth movement you can also receive up to 28 days pay per year plus, where appropriate, out of pocket expenses. You have to be committed enough to give up one or two evenings a week, a weekend every month or so and attend a two weeks annual camp in the summer. You have to be prepared to learn new skills and knowledge, achieve first aid qualifications or even your DoE Bronze, Silver or Gold Award, all of which will enhance your CV in your normal everyday job.
