Territorial Training Benefits

Social

There's never a dull moment in today's TA. As well as the excitement of military activities, you'll also enjoy a brilliant social life with a great new bunch of mates.

The Officers and Warrant Officers hold formal dinners several times a year and there are plenty of all rank functions to look forward to as well. So as you can see, it's not all work and no play.

Travel

You'll experience a rich blend of travel, adventure and sport both at home and abroad that will help build team spirit and ensure a good time is had by all.

On one hand, you may be able to join a regular Army expedition anywhere in the world or alternatively take part in an adventure training programme overseas as part of a military exercise organised by your own unit. For example, recent exercises have taken place in Cyprus, Gibraltar, Hungary and Germany to name just a few.

It's a great way of developing confidence and character. Units have also been climbing in Kenya and trekking in South Africa and on annual camps there's skiing, sailing, canoeing, white water rafting and many more activities.

So there's plenty of action-packed fun on the agenda.
