Notification of dry training at Altcar

NOTIFICATION OF LIVE FIRING AND DRY TRAINING AT ALTCAR RIFLE RANGE, HIGHTOWN
IN ACCORDANCE WITH ALTCAR RIFLE RANGE BYE-LAWS AND STANDING ORDERS

1. Live firing will take place from 0800 hours until 1630 hrs from 01 August 2008 to 31 August 2008. Dry Training may take place at any time throughout the month of August 2008. Fridays are normally a non firing day unless operational training is taking place.

2. The Land and Sea Danger Areas will be closed during these periods when RED FLAGS or LAMPS are displayed. Air Danger height 1000ft when range is in use.

3. Night firing may take place between any of the dates shown below:

Mon-Thu 04-08 Aug, Mon -Thu 11-15 Aug, Mon-Thu 18-22 Aug, Mon-Thu 25-29 Aug 2008.

An extension to the firing day has been requested by the County of Lancaster Rifle Association on Saturday & Sunday 23-24 August 2008 till 1900hrs should it be required

4. Whilst every effort is made to conduct live firing within the hours of 0800-1630hrs daily, this is not always possible. Units may require additional shooting time outside the hours of 0800-1630hrs. This will be kept to a minimum where possible but cannot be guaranteed because of operational requirement and Military necessity.

Notification of firing at Altcar

NOTIFICATION OF LIVE FIRING AND DRY TRAINING AT ALTCAR RIFLE RANGE, HIGHTOWN IN ACCORDANCE WITH ALTCAR RIFLE RANGE BYE-LAWS AND STANDING ORDERS

1. Live firing will take place from 0800 hours until 1630 hrs from 01 September 2008 to 30 September 2008. Dry Training may take place at any time throughout the month of September 2008. Fridays are normally a non firing day unless operational training is taking place.

Extensions to the firing days have been requested by the Regular Army till 1900hrs on the following dates 9, 15, 17, 22, & 24 September 2008.

4. Whilst every effort is made to conduct live firing within the hours of 0800-1630hrs daily, this is not always possible. Units may require additional shooting time outside the hours of 0800-1630hrs. This will be kept to a minimum where possible but cannot be guaranteed because of operational requirement and Military necessity.

5. On Friday the 05 September there could be a Military necessity for the Ranges to be used.

Male: 60 Officers 80 SNCO 320 Soldiers
Female: 70 (more at the expense of male accommodation)

'C' Camp & Bivouac Area

Hutted accommodation for 24 all ranks (including associated messing and ablution facilities).
Bivouac Area accommodation for 100 all ranks.
Total accommodation 550 Beds
