VACANCY NOTICE – REGIONAL SABRE CAMPAIGN DIRECTOR (Grade C2)

Applicants are invited for the post of Regional SaBRE Campaign Director for the North West of England and Isle of Man Reserve Forces and Cadets Association based in Liverpool.  This is a Crown Service Grade C2 post that will become vacant in September 2010.

Applicants will be over 18 year of age and should preferably be under the age of 56 on appointment.  The salary band currently starts at £29,258 (Band Minimum) rising to £34,936 (Band Maximum) per annum.  There is a voluntary, final salary pension scheme and an allowance is payable to offset the contribution.  Annual leave, excluding public holidays, is 25 days per annum rising to 30 days after 5 years service.   (Previous military or civil service is taken into account).

Applicants should have previous managerial experience, be a good communicator, both orally and on paper, and be IT literate.  Knowledge of the Armed Forces, in particular the Reserve Forces, and of public sector budgetary procedures would be advantageous.  Experience of interfacing with employers would also be desirable.

The appointment is for a probationary period of 3 months in the first instance, after which it may be confirmed to the normal retiring age of 65.
